Night Shift Direct Support Professional

Work Summary:

Monitor residents throughout the shift. Do housekeeping and cooking chores as assigned. Must be able to lift/move a person utilizing the two-man MANDT lift.

Responsibilities:

  1. Be responsible for a safe, clean, and healthy environment for the residents of the group home.
  2. Do meal preparation as assigned.
  3. Do cleaning chores and laundry chores as assigned by the manager.
  4. Write and submit incident reports in a timely manner and/or write incidents on individual’s log.
  5. Attain and remain current on Medication delivery, MANDT Certification, First Aid, and CPR Certification.
  6. Be familiar with and adhere to corporation policies.
  7. Supervise residents, as needed, when they take medications.
  8. Attend monthly group home meetings and Milk River, Inc. staff meetings.
  9. Check on sleeping individuals every half hour, or more often if necessary.
  10. Ensure that there is a fire drill run every quarter during the night shift.
  11. Perform all other duties assigned by the Manager and/or Executive Director.

Education and Experience Required:

High School degree or equivalent. Developmental Disabilities Orientation Training and Group Home Orientation must be completed before the first shift. Must complete First Aid and CPR Certification within 30 days of hire. Must obtain Medication Delivery Certification within 30 days of hire. Must have a valid Montana Driver’s license.
